PSCST Library was established with the inception of council in 1983. Now it is located at the basement of conventional hall, MGSIPA sector 26, Chandigarh with the sitting capacity of 25 users. Regarding membership, all the member of council including project fellows i.e. SRF/JRF are the member of library. Library has 2 computers, printers and LAN facilities with internet connection.
Library has a total collection of over more than 7200 print books covering all disciplines of Science, Engineering, Technology, Management, Architecture and Planning, Pharmacy, Hospitality, Education and Media. Furthermore, the members have access to more than 20 magazines and 50 print national/international peer-reviewed journals apart from daily newspapers.
Library also provides access to a large number of open access e-resources and many more. All activities of the library are computerized and separate On-line Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) terminals to know the status of books at any time. The library is kept open 9:00 am to 5:00.
No Dues Certificate –
a. Before leaving from council users will have to obtain ‘No Dues Certificate’ from the Librarian.
b. After obtaining ‘No Dues Certificate’ books can be issued on payment of special security which is refundable.
Loss or damage of a Library book will be met by a penalty as per library rules.
General Rules – Use of mobile phones, eatables,belongings and valuables are not allowed in the library.
The Library Rules and Regulations shall be modified from time to time and shall be binding on all concerned. The Library Notice on Library Rules and Regulations may be consulted for further and detailed information.
